A diverse and vibrant community with a creative spirit.

Sydenham borders the county of Surrey and is located close to Lewisham, Bromley and Southwark. It is a diverse and vibrant area, attracting people from many backgrounds looking to buy a property in Sydenham and its environs. Wells Park became a highly significant part of Sydenham in the 1640s, when springs of water flowing from there were believed to have healing medical properties.

Sydenham is also very close to Crystal Palace, where the Great Exhibition of 1851 was presented. This helped Sydenham become a fashionable area to reside. The town has been home to an eclectic mix of well-known residents over the centuries, including Norwegian pop band A-ha!, Rolling Stone Bill Wyman, inventor of the television John Logie Baird, cricketer W.G Grace and Antarctic explorer Ernest Shackleton.
